Four majestic marble columns mark the entrance to Collina. There is a fantastic living room with wonderful arched ceilings with fine detail work, valuable antique furniture a grand piano. There is also a state of the art kitchen which is both practical and comfortable, the perfect place to simultaneously prepare a wonderful dinner and hang out with your friends.
Ascending the stunning marble staircase to the first floor you are immediately struck by the
impressive murals gracing the walls. Walking further down the hall you come to the first bedroom, the
Cardinale, featuring a twin bed on four wheels with Ferrari red linens. There is also the Delle Palme master bedroom with a king size baldachin bed and a wardrobe finely painted with symbols of the four seasons. There is also a third bedroom, the Girasole featuring two twin beds which can be put together to make a queen and also a daybed for families travelling with a small child. The bedrooms share a bathroom made of Portugese marble with a full shower.
From its windows each bedroom has its own distinctive view of the Chianti countryside below
On the second floor is the fabulous faux painted Delle Tazze double bedroom, with its mural of flying teacups leading up to heaven. A second bedroom, the Horoscope, features beautifully painted signs of the Zodiac and a double bed, and the Desert room with twin beds is a tour de force with its fantastic trompe d’oeil painting of sunset over the desert. Just added in 2007 is a fourth bedroom with its own bathroom.
Outside there is a large swimming pool bordered by the castle’s vineyards, there is an outdoor shower and
a poolhouse with a bathroom.
There is an outdoor barbecue, a beautiful sunflower garden, a large Italian garden, and a large goldfish
pond.
