Just twelve kilometers outside of Florence is the magnificent seven bedroom Villa la
Querce, one of our favourite villas. Built in the Florentine style in the fifteenth century this
900 square meter fully staffed mansion features large spacious rooms and wonderful grounds.
Three of La Querce's large bedrooms are air conditioned. For those who want to
enjoy Florence but hate the hastle of parking and driving in the Renaissance
City, there is a regularly scheduled bus that stops right outside the
villa’s gates on its route to Florence Piazza Stazione. La Quece is perfect
for weddings as well as family gatherings.

7 Double bedrooms/7 Bathrooms - sleeps 14 people
GROUND FLOOR : One enters La Querce through a large and gorgeous salon with terracotta floors,
wooden beamed ceilings, a magnificent working fireplace, wonderful paintings and photographs and a
beautiful oriental rug. Adjoining the main salon to the left is an impeccably furnished living room with
a luminous seating area and original paintings. Adjoining the main salon to the right is a large dining
room, a big kitchen with a breakfast table and a half bath. There are also two beautiful bedrooms with
king size beds and en suite bathrooms. Addtionally there are quarters for the live-in staff.
FIRST FLOOR :
There is a large sitting room with a
gorgeous grand piano. Across the hall is a king bedroom with en suite bathroom and a bedroom
with two canopied twin beds. On the other side of the salon are two additional bedrooms,
including the master suite with an en suite bathroom and another twin bedroom with its own
en suite bathroom. There is also an exercise room with a trotter and a stationary bicycle
for those who want to work off the caloric impact of a gourmet dinner prepared by the cook .
SECOND FLOOR :
Up the stairway to the right is a double
bedroom with en suite bathroom with bath. Two twin bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.
A sitting room serves these bedrooms. To the back of the stairway is a large double bedroom
with an en suite and very large bathroom equipped with both a shower and separate tub.
THE TOWER :
Above the second floor is a large bedroom suite with a king bed and
a full bathroom.
THE GROUNDS :
One enters La Querce through a gate
lined with cyprus and olive trees. Under a large fig tree is a great sitting area, and there
is an outdoor logetta which is perfect for dining. There is a large eight by fifteen meter
swimming pool hidden among the olive trees and surrounded by a laurel hedge and there is a
small independent chapel which is still consecrated, so couples can be married.
