| Fifteen minutes east of Florence is the splendid Castello di Volognano.
This eleventh century Etruscan castle has phenomenal views over the River Arno from its hilltop position. The castle has 200 hectares of magnificent vinyards and olive trees and produces some of the best wines in the region. Recently restored this superb six bedroom luxury villa offers accommodations for 12 people.
The castle has been splendidly furnished with valuable Tuscan antiques that are beautiful and still comfortable. It has one of the most unique and stunning swimming pools flowing from the indoor limonaia (lemon house) out into the outside Roman garden.

GROUND FLOOR : Features a living room, dining room, kitchen, half bathroom and a lounge featuring an antique stone olive press
FIRST FLOOR: Starts with a spacious bedroom with a kingsize bed and its own en suite bath. There are two twin bedded rooms which share a bathroom and shower with massaging water jets. Each of the bedrooms offer spectacular views over the vineyards and vallys below.
SECOND FLOOR: Features a magnificent suite with a king bedroom, and two additional twin bedded
rooms sharing a bathroom between them.
THIRD FLOOR Has a large den with a regulation snooker table, a television, and games table, as well as turret windows offering picture postcard views over the Arno valley.
GROUNDS Adjoining the castle is an ancient picturesque consecrated church where couples can be married. In the basement is the castles winery and cantina, where guests are encouraged to sample Volognano's extremely good wine.
