| The elegant air conditioned seven bedroom Villa Roncovisi
is located high on a hill above the town of Montecatini Terme, forty
kilometers west of Florence. This 18th century home was recently lavishly
restored by Roncovisi’s delightful owners who live next door.
Villa Roncovisi tastefully blends authentic antiques, paintings and
Persian carpets with all the modern comforts, including WIFI internet
access, to guarantee a holiday of beauty and comfort under the Tuscan
sun.
Villa Roncovisi is in an area called the Valdinevole, as yet undiscovered
and unruined by mass tourism. Guests have a chance to experience traditional
Tuscany in an advantageous setting - close to all the major tourist
attractions and yet far enough away to guarantee privacy. |

VILLA : 7 bedrooms - 7 bathrooms
GROUND FLOOR : There is a small breakfast room seating eight people furnished with a combination of Louis XIVth and Biedermeier
antiques. This communicates with a well equipped secondary kitchen and a lounge with an antique
fireplace. Through the hall one comes to the main well equipped kitchen and adjacent dining room seating
16 people. There is a television room and a billiard room featuring a regulation size pool table. There
are two bathrooms on the ground floor as well as a small laundry room with both a washing machine and
drier.
INTERMEDIATE FLOOR : From the main dining room there is a small staircase leading to an intermediate
floor. This floor features a bedroom with 2 single beds furnished with a gorgeous Piemonte wardrobe from
the nineteenth cenutry an English writing desk and a chest of drawers
FIRST FLOOR: On the first floor are six bedrooms. The Yellow bedroom has a king size bed and en suite
bathroom with a Jacuzzi hydromassage bath and shower, a walk-in wardrobe, antique chest, chest of drawers
and two armchairs with a small table. The Green bedroom has a king size bed and en suite bathroom with
Jacuzzi shower, walk-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The Pink bedroom has a king size bed and en
suite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower, a wardrobe and a dresser. The Blue bedroom has a king-size bed,
wardrobe, a chests of drawers, en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower and a balcony reached by a spiral
staircase with single bed - perfect for families with a small child. There is the triple bedroom with
3 single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers and a single bedroom/study with a twin bed, built-in
wardrobe and chest of drawers. These two aforementioned bedrooms share a bathroom with a Jacuzzi
bath and shower.
GARDENS: Villa Roncovisi is surrounded by a 3,000 square metre garden, enclosed within a high laurel
hedge. The lawn includes a small group of shade trees, a barbeque area and a dining area under a wisteria
-covered gazebo. On the western side of the garden there is a parking area for five cars. In the east,
on a lower level, there is the swimming pool which is surrounded by olive trees and a variety of plants
and flowers. Antique Tuscan terracotta vases and orchids have been placed throughout the garden.
POOL : With a tremendous view of the Tuscan valley below Roncovisi features a private 6 by 12
meter Infinity swimming pool with a depth of 1.35 meters. The pool is equipped with hydromassage
swimjets and is situated on a terrace a few meters below the main villa. There is a changing room and bathroom at poolside.
