The ultra luxurious 28 room Villa Mangiacane is a magnificent 16th century Renaissance Palace on a hill above Sant’Andrea in Percussina, just outside of San Casciano with a spectacular view of nearby Florence<. According to legend Michelangelo participated in designing Mangiacane. The villa was built by Cardinal Francesco Maria Machiavelli, uncle of Niccolò Machiavelli, thanks to the substantial commissions given him by his relative, Pope Urban VIII. Villa Mangiacane is a five star hotel but can now be rented in its exclusivity – and is perfect for destination weddings, family reunions and corporate retreats. With its phenomenal décor, large and spacious rooms, superlative spa and wonderful restaurant Villa Mangiacane is one of the finest addresses in all of Italy.

Separated by a gorgeous Roman Garden, Mangiacane is divided into two buildings, the Main Villa and the Vineyard Villa. Every room and suite is large and beautifully furnished with a combination of antiques and modern conveniences such as plasma screen televisions. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with all the luxurious amenities which one expects from a five star hotel. Amongst the highlights are the Royal Suite situated on the ground floor of the main villa.
