There is a wonderful kitchen, two large sitting rooms with satellite television, and full stereo. But our favorite room is the fully equipped bar converted from Cardinal Riccis dungeon (a room that all men of the cloth required!). The bar includes a television room, antique couches with leopard skin upholstery, and barstools covered in ostrich feathers. The kitchen is fully equipped and opens onto the courtyard.
The villa design is a little less than traditional as there is an African motif to nearly every room. Each room on the ground floor has an enterance onto the courtyard outside.
There is one room with two twins, and three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
On the first floor there is a living room/music room with a grand piano and comfortable seating area. There is also a dining room with leather chairs and a long table seating ten people with a small kitchen. There are three additional spacious bedrooms with queen beds and en suite bathrooms.
Approximately 10 meters from the main building is an annex with two double bedrooms with wonderful en suite bathrooms.
The Grounds Outside and up some steps is a beautiful large marble infinity swimming pool, the perfect place to enjoy the scenic vista of Tuscany. By the pool the owners have set up an oasis, errecting a Morrocan tent inside which there is a swimming pool, rugs, and lounging pillows perfect for those who seek refuge from the sun on hot Tuscan days. Commencing with the summer of 2007 there will be a tennis court. There are outside dining areas offering fantastic views of the surrounding vineyards, olive groves and vista. The garden has a range of aromatic herbs which inebriate the air, and rows of lavender accompany the path to the pool.
Although Villa Rignana is remotely located it is within walking distance of a fantastic gourmet restaurant, the famous Cantinetta di Rignana restaurant, renowned for the best Tuscan cuisine and local atmosphere.
Rignana comes with a complete staff.
